Ripples of Thought

Hey everyone, I know that it's been a long, long time since I posted anything here, and I apologize. Life has been pretty busy for me here in Okinawa. This past week, I was on the rifle range, (Marines qualify on the range at least once a year), and well, being my last time there, (because I'm getting out of the Corps soon), I was a little disheartened that I didn't get Expert. I'm sure both my mother and father will tell you that even before the Marine Corps, before I got in that is, my main focus was on shooting Expert on the range. In the five times that I've been there, I never have. The first three, I ended up qualifying as a Marksman, which is the lowest that you can get, but, still the equivalent to an Army Expert.

The fourth time I went, I shot a Sharpshooter, which is, by far, the coolest looking rifle badge you can get, (Maltese Cross with and Eagle, Globe and Anchor, the symbol of the US Marine Corps, in the center).

Anyway, yesterday was qualifying day on the range, it was okay, I shot a Sharpshooter again, which is cool, I can't wait to show up at my sister's wedding wearing my service Alphas and not wearing a Marksman badge. I didn't get Expert, but, I'm happy for what I did get.
